Curriculum

Noor Al Khaleej aims at making the transition from home to school easy, by providing a warm, safe and caring environment that children have at home. The program at Noor Al Khaleej is based on the principles of age appropriate child development practices. Both our Kindergartens have spacious classrooms and are well-equipped with learning aids and educational toys suitable for different age groups. There are large safe shaded play areas which are equipped with toys that encourage them to develop their large motor skills and self-confidence.

The curriculum in Noor Al Khaleej preschool is designed for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years old. Our curriculum promotes active learning, and provides enhanced and multi-sensory experiences in Language, Math, Science, Arabic, Islamiyat, Practical Life, Art, Music, and Motor Development. Our Kindergarten Program also includes well-planned field trips and on-site special events and demonstrations that extend classroom learning and help students to make real-world connections.

Our education targets six main learning areas:

  1. Emotional, Personal, and Social Development
  2. Communication, Language and Literacy
  3. Knowledge and understanding of the world
  4. Memory enhancement
  5. Physical development
  6. Creative and Logical Development
  7. We aim to provide our students with the opportunity to develop self-awareness, teamwork skills, and grow to be lifelong learners and caring citizens.

Each child is observed and assessed individually, and their work and progress documented in a specific portfolio that is shared with the parent, allowing them to be a part of their child’s life at school.

Noor Al Khaleej International Kindergarten is a part of Noor Al Khaleej International School and this makes for an easy transition to Year 1 in the Primary Foundation Phase. Our curriculum also bridges students’ preschool educations with their future elementary school learning.
